The taste profile of blanton's green bottle is designed for true connoisseurs who seek smoothness in their bourbon. Bottled at 80 proof, it uses Mash Bill #2, a unique sour mash blend of corn, malted barley, and extra rye, matured in American White Oak casks. On the nose, it reveals rich sour notes of well-cooked citrus like bright oranges or lemons, mingled with subtle hints of tobacco and sweet vanilla. The palate is soft and silky, featuring a harmonious blend of rich cream, cardamom, ginger, and spice. The finish is delightfully bitter with a creamy coating.

First introduced in 1984 under the guidance of Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee, this bourbon embodies the legacy of Colonel Albert Bacon Blanton, former President of the Distillery. Known for its high rye content and aged in the unique metal-clad Warehouse H, the bourbon experiences significant temperature fluctuations, which uniquely influence its aging process.
